Bozo Bell's Babble:
Second Half Sleepers
Jamel White-RB-Cle
This guy gets less respect then Rodney Dangerfield. The Cleveland offense should
be based around this guy, but instead he has to fight for every touch he gets.
Jamel can not only run the ball, but is a passing option as well. Time to cut
their losses with James Jackson and William Green. Butch Davis- its time to
give some damn support to the only guy who doesn't cry when he gets banged up.
Jamel is only going to get better with the more touches. He is a solid!!
Shane Matthews-QB-Was
Now that he is back in command of the "Fun N Gun" offense, I predict a few huge
games. Shane did a good job up until the Eagles game this year. He is a good
player that knows how to get things done in the NFL. And in this system, he
could have a few 3 or 4 td days. He is a good pickup if Spurrier will stay with
him for the rest of the season.
Marc Bulger-QB-Stl
Watching him against the Raiders was like Déjà vu. The very first time I saw
Bulger play was while he was at WVU. I forget who the opponent was(I'm thinking
Rutgers) but Marc started of the game with completion after completion. He may
have even tied the college record for most completions in a row(if not he was
very close). So when he was leading the Rams down the field going 8 for 8. I
knew what this guy was capable of. He was very close to winning the #2 spot
from Jamie Martin this year in camp, but since he is a rookie, they made him
pay some dues at 3rd string. This guy is only going to get better with all the
star's around him. He is the 2nd coming of Kurt Warner.
James Stewart-RB-Det
Now that he is healthy and the lions have some what of a passing game. Look
for Stewart to make an impact. He is coming off a hot week and as long as Harrington
continues to shine, that will make Stewart's numbers go up-running and receiving.
He can be a very productive back if he gets the carries and the defenses don't
focus only on him.
Santana Moss-WR-Nyj
Another guy who seems to be healthy, and with the injuries to Chrebet, he will
get thrown a piece of the pie a bit more. Moss is very athletic and given the
ball enough times is bound to equal a TOUCDOWN!!! If you don't pick him up yet,
keep him on your radar. He has huge upside and last week may have been the start
of his showcasing it.
Mike Alstott-RB-Tpa
Why won't anyone give him the sole running back duties. The guy can play, and
the more he has the ball, the better chances he has for making a play. Alstott
is a tank, but he is a quick bitch too. While at college, he once chased down
a rabbit and caught it by its hind legs. Right now in his role he won't get
you a lot of yards on a consistent basis, but he will get TD's. It seems like
Gruden is starting to become a believer and Alstott is getting some extra plays.
He is a good guy for a back up or spot starting duties. Remember-you're in good
hands will Alstott!!!!!!!!!
